Hello, my name is Diane Lovejoy, and after more than 30 years of teaching violin in the Beaverton Oregon area, I moved to beautiful East Tennessee in 2021, and Fiddlesing Studio is now open in Oak Ridge. To my former students - stay with it, music is a life long journey and I'm always here for you. :)
I teach private lessons, beginner through advanced violin, both classical music and lots of fiddle tunes. Irish and American (historical) music are my particular specialties, and I am a living history presenter for the music of the Civil War and Revolutionary War period. There are numerous events celebrating our American experience throughout the year in TN and music is a vital part of it. I give presentations in many local venues and these events are just a lot of fun ... ask me!
In the studio, I approach teaching with a good grounding in technique first, so that whatever kind of music you want to play, it is pain free and just makes it easier to do. Whether you are just starting out or dusting it off from years past, there's no time like the present.
